COMMON QUESTIONS

Before You Apply

Does my son need prior trade experience?

Not at all. ALA teaches everything from scratch. Willingness to learn is all that’s required.

Can he enroll in just one semester?

Is this a boarding school?

ALA is a residential intensive program — not a traditional boarding school. Students live on campus for the 8-week semester.

Are scholarships available?

Yes. Need-based scholarships are available through the 100k Friends 501(c)(3) donor fund. Indicate interest on your application.

What states do you accept students from?

Oklahoma and all surrounding states. Travel assistance may be available for qualified applicants.

FOR PARENTS

We Know This Is a
Big Decision.

Sending your son to a residential program for 8 weeks takes trust. Here’s what every ALA parent should know before enrolling.

Safe, Structured Environment

ALA operates on a fully supervised 7-acre campus in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Residential supervisors are on-site 24/7, and every part of the program is built around safety, structure, and student wellbeing.

Consistent Parent Communication

Parents receive regular updates on their son’s progress, milestones, and overall wellbeing. You’ll never be left wondering how he’s doing — our team keeps families informed throughout the semester.

Aligned with Homeschool Standards

Our academic curriculum is structured to align with homeschool expectations and records. Students continue progressing academically while developing character, trades, and leadership skills.

Nonprofit Accountability

ALA operates under 100k Friends, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Tuition, scholarships, and donor support are directed toward student development and mission impact — nothing else.

Values-Aligned Mentorship

Every mentor at ALA is selected for character first and skill second. Your son will be surrounded by men who model integrity, accountability, discipline, and genuine care for the next generation.

Flexible Commitment Options

Not ready for the full year? Start with one semester. Each 8-week intensive is designed to deliver meaningful growth on its own while still fitting into a larger long-term path.

“We were nervous about sending our son away for 8 weeks. By week two he was calling us excited about what he was learning. By the end of the semester, he came home more confident, more focused, and more grateful.”

PARENT OF ALA STUDENT · OKLAHOMA CITY, OK

“As a homeschool family, we looked at many programs. Nothing came close to what ALA offers — real trades, real responsibility, and a community of men who genuinely care about building up the next generation.”
